GynecologyGynecology

Seeking a qualified medical aid in a timely manner and diagnostics are key to successful treatment and fast recovery.

There are continuous physiological changes in a sexual life of a woman that last from puberty to menopause. And because of sexual activity, pregnancy and other factors within that period, a woman is not immune to acquiring various diseases of the reproductive system.

Diseases of the cervix are of frequent occurrence among the modern women, especially among young women in reproductive age. Such diseases can be detected by means of colposcopy as well as by laboratory tests.

Our doctors offer individual, specialty care, aimed at support of health, prevention and treatment of gynecological diseases.

Diagnostics of gynecological diseases at our Clinic consists of the following:

  • Laboratory tests (blood count, vaginal examinations);
  • Pelvic sonography;
  • Colposcopy – examination of the uterine cervix for signs of pathology using a special magnifying device – a colposcope;
  • Hysteroscopy — a surgical procedure, where the gynecologist uses a small telescopic tool with a light source (a hysteroscope) to diagnose and treat pathologies of the uterus;
  • (Echo) salpingoscopy — is an ultrasound-guided examination of fallopian tubes patency using anesthesia. It is one of the advanced techniques of reproductive gynecology that has a direct impact on the treatment efficiency of infertile women and those who are suspected to have the pelvic adhesion;

We use the following methods of gynecological diseases treatment:

  • Conventional: pharmacological therapy, radiowave treatment of the cervix;
  • Minor surgical interventions: fractional curettage of the uterine cavity by means of hysteroscopy, polypectomy.
  • In addition, specialists of our Clinic have developed special programs for preventive measures and for support of female health,

Namely:

  • “Preventive examination for women” program (a comprehensive diagnostic program intended for evaluation, support and preservation of female health);
  • “Reproductive health of a woman” program (a comprehensive diagnostic program intended for evaluation of functional status of the female reproductive system).

Programs

At “Lada” Clinic, we offer the diagnostics, preventive measures and treatment of gynecological diseases in women of reproductive, premenopausal and menopausal age, for example, for:

  • Ovarian dysfunction;
  • Endometriosis;
  • Sexually transmitted diseases (STD);
  • Infertility;
  • Diseases of the uterine cervix;
  • Endometrial hyperplasia.

Following are the diagnostic tools utilized at “Lada” Clinic:

  • Laboratory tests;
  • Ultrasound;
  • Colposcopy;
  • Hysteroscopy;
  • (Echo) salpingoscopy — is an ultrasound-guided examination of fallopian tubes patency.

We use the following treatment methods for our gynecological patients:

  • Conventional: pharmacological therapy, radiowave treatment of the cervix;
  • Minor surgical interventions: fractional curettage of the uterine cavity by means of hysteroscopy, polypectomy.

Among the gynecological diseases, the inflammatory processes of the female reproductive organs are of the most frequent occurrence and can lead to the ovarian dysfunction, beginning of the pelvic adhesion and as a result, to infertility and diseases of the uterine cervix.

At our Clinic, we perform diagnostics of the STD with subsequent selection of the treatment method, depending on the type of infection and considering individual parameters of the organism.

Ovarian dysfunction most likely causes changes of the endocrine profile in a female organism. Our doctors provide correction of hormonal changes in accordance with individual qualities of the ovaries.

Hysteroscopy is one of the examination techniques in gynecology the doctor applies to examine the uterine cavity. This procedure helps establishing the cause of infertility, uterine bleeding as well as detecting some of the uterine diseases, and in some cases, to administer their treatment.

Hysteroscopy can be used to diagnose:

  • Infertility;
  • Miscarriage;
  • Hyperplastic processes in the uterine cavity;
  • Endometriosis;
  • Abnormal uterine bleeding.

Hysteroscopy

It is a procedure that allows a gynecologist to insert a special optical device into the uterine cavity (through the vagina) — a hysteroscope (a long thin lighted tube with a video camera that displays the image on the screen). The procedure is performed under anesthesia and most likely on within the 6-10 day after the menstruation onset. The procedure may involve removal of polyps from the uterine cavity, fractional and diagnostic curettage of the cavity, diagnostics of the endometriosis lesions, intrauterine adhesions.

Hysteroscopy is a very effective diagnostic technique for some of the uterine diseases and allows identifying cause of the following symptoms:

  • Absence of pregnancy with no evident reasons;
  • Miscarriage – spontaneous (natural) abortions;
  • Uterine bleeding during menopause;
  • Dysfunctional uterine bleeding (uterine bleeding at irregular menstrual cycle that occur because of the ovarian dysfunction in women of reproductive age).

There are currently several techniques used to examine fallopian tubes patency. One of the most often used techniques to determine the fallopian tubes patency is (echo)salpingoscopy. It is the ultrasound-guided technique for examination of the uterine (fallopian) tubes patency.

The fallopian tubes patency evaluation is especially important in cases of infertility as their status is the most important factor that contributes to the occurrence of an independent pregnancy.

This procedure is a must for the infertility diagnostics. Using a catheter, a special saline solution in a permissible quantity is injected through the cervical canal to the uterine cavity and the doctor is observing the distribution of liquid with the help of ultrasound. In case if the tubes are partially patent or blocked, it means that the solution does not penetrate the fallopian tubes or that the intensity of filling is very low, which is visualized and recorded by the doctor.

The procedure is performed on the 7-12 day of the menstrual cycle. All patients are undergoing a prior examination to exclude any infectious and inflammatory diseases of the small pelvis as well as blood infections (hepatitises, syphilis, HIV). The procedure can be performed if there are no contraindications.

At our Clinic we perform echo(salpingoscopy) under anesthesia.

There could be insignificant bloody discharges in some cases after the examination that usually subside within 1-2 days. It is recommended to refrain from sexual activity for 10 days with the purpose of prevention of secondary inflammatory processes.

Female health problems usually occur without warning, but their consequences are difficult to remedy. The reason is that many people prefer keeping their usual lifestyle without changes and avoid taking preventive measures until they would experience some serious discomfort. It causes the diseases stay undetected for a long time until they reach advanced stage of becoming chronic.

Specialists of our Clinic have elaborated special programs for preventive measures and support of the female health.

Annual examination

Annual examination helps evaluating, supporting and preserving the female heath, and in some cases it allows detecting a disease at an early stage, when it can be treated or controlled. Our doctors are developing an individual plan of preventive examinations and tests for each patient.

Programs of the Clinic:

  • “Preventive examination for women” program (a comprehensive diagnostic program intended for evaluation, support and preservation of female health);
  • ”Reproductive health of a woman” program (a comprehensive diagnostic program intended for evaluation of functional status of the female reproductive system).
